With SHATEC in Singapore, they are given "priority" in employments of hotel lines - they are trained specifically for this industry. To be realistic enough, air crew are not trained in the same manner as SHATEC grads.

Good luck for your search, you need to strike a balance why you are better.

SHATEC is only for F&B la. if u wan to be in GR, its front desk/ mktg depends on hotel

They are into Hotel management too. Not just F&B.

dear expats,

i'm very interested in the hotel industry and have been called up for an interview for front desk officer recently.

Some questions: Although the pay is low, is there yearly pay increment? Does hotel jobs have bonuses?Average increment per yr is around how much? and is there any transport services provided? Pros and cons of front desk officers? Kind souls in the hotel line, please do provide some advice. Thanks.=)
