Hi guys,
They say the best way to find a job in a new country is to actually be there in person. I know through personal experience that the major job sites are pretty much useless for those of us looking for jobs from overseas.
But now my question is, say I do buy a ticket to Singapore and fly there. Then what? How would I approach the situation any differently really?
Wouldn't I still have to apply through the ads (usually on Internet)? Dealing with job agencies would be the same as when overseas.
So which new channels open up to me when I am in Singapore? I can't think of any. What am I missing?
Thanks in advance.

Uhh there's actually nothing written there that I couldn't do from here
Anyway thanks for your reply, I already got some great leads. To all you people trying for a job in Singapore, my experience is that you definitely
do not need to drop everything and actually go there to arrange it.

Hi Marvel,
How you get your leads? I could well be in a similar situation in the future and am not sure whether to get a job then go there or go there and get a job.
I work in the computer industry.
thanks
