From what i know.. The guys usually send their resume using Emirates website and they will contact you when they have an interview at your location.. But sometimes (quite rare) they have interview for guys only..

emirates interview

Post by ester » Fri, 23 Mar 2007 1:11 pm

Hi all,

I am new here :)
Anyone here has went for Emirates Interview?
I just applied online. It states on the website that one got to bring along a passport size and full length photos. For those who have went for the interview before, like to know whether if its really necessary to bring one's full-length photo?

Cheers,

i know we have to be dressed in business suit. anyone knows if we need to have our blazers on? afraid that i might overdress when other gals are not wearing.

You wouldn't be overdressed in a blazer. Middle east airlines have high expections in dressing, a blazer would be fine. So dont worry.

There's no telling what kind of questions they will ask. Just the usual things; smiles all around, be natural, dress and groom well. Be careful about your answers cos they might ask you about why you had that kind of answer. But in this way, actually you could lead them onto your strong areas, like the questions you already had experiences or answers where you could be fluent on. Acting's not going to cut it, they will see right through you. So maybe you could read up on their websites, and the general overview of the service industry. Experiences on customer service. Imagine you have one if you don't. Or just tell them you are new to the working world and very willing to learn. Luck plays a big part too, so don't be too hard on yourself if things don't work out.

I went for Emirates recruitment before.. Sad to say didn't even managed to pass the 1st round...

So can only share with you what happened till the first round...

You go there, register. Make sure you have your full length picture in business suit with solid background. (no fanciful one, if not you have to retake) THe price for picture taking is very very expensive, so i suggest you gals to prepare 1 good one first. You also need a passport size photograph.

After registering, you will go and measure you height. You will need to be able to hit the line they marked. I'm not sure how high is it, but a lot of gals can't make it and was ask to leave.

After that, you are sitted in the room, the row of gals you sit with, will be those you go into the first round with.

In the room of about 10 gals, you will sit in a circle, and a topic will be thrown to you. You just have to participate and join the discussion together with the gals. I'm not sure how they picked. Those who talk a lot got in, those who didn't talk got in also... It's all on luck..

Well.. I will be going for the upcoming one.. Anyone care to join?
