fair price for air con service
fair price for air con service
as the title says, I'm interested in hearing what the range is for regular maintenance / cleaning service, say, per air con unit
the reason I'm asking is that I live in a well-known condo, one that I can imagine might suffer a price hike from the companies that advertise here versus what they might get elsewhere
of course not all such companies are like that, but I would think some might
also if there are any recommendations / de-recommendations, please lay 'em on me
Mods - if there's an existing thread on this subject please point me to it

Absolutely no use on this one. I've acclimatized pretty good. I've never used aircon in my house in all the years I've been here. I find it dries my throat out too much so just use ceiling fans and plenty of ventilation and chic chats to keep the mozzies down. Works for me and a lot cheaper as well. Sorry.
If anybody can recommend good ones who are fair and reputable, please feel free to post them here (not advertising but recommendations) and or send it to me for inclusion the link in my signature.

Be aware you may be comparing apples to pears.
Cleaning is not always the same kind of cleaning. If it is a regular service, say every 2 or 3 months, they will just swipe it, maybe do a wet cleansing, that's it. After all, most likely the unit is still ok as it is cleaned / maintained on a regular basis.
If though the aircon has not been maintained on a regular basis, say only once a year, and is used often, if not daily, then cleaing is a whole different thing: they will take out the parts, completely wash it, disinfect it, clean it etc etc.
The latter may cost you up to 50 or even 100 $ per unit, the first one just 20 $.
