Did she mentioned that she wants to fly ? :???: anyways ,, i worked with CAAS before.. they dont recruit directly anymore ..always through agency ... used to be P-Serv but i think now other agencies.... 6 days work week,,and you have to be on standby even if its ur off day.Pay about $ 1600 thats all.

Must know airport info in and out.. but ok fun to work with people.. those working directly are working like 3 days work n 3 days off.. higher pay also .....they have part time positions too.

Are you gals talking about Customer Services Officer (CSO) under SATS?
Make sure you get the title right, because there's Customer Services Agent (CSA) under SATS too.

As for CSO, minimium Diploma qualification to apply for the job.
CSO basic pay is slightly higher than CSA, about $1000+ excluding allowances.
CSO 'take charge' of flights, depends on your roster, you take charge of flights during check in, departure and arrival.. etc.
CSO holds more responsiblity than CSA and you decide what action to take when flights are overbooked, passengers with excess baggages.. etc.
During departure flights, you make sure you have all passengers in the plane before departure time, liaise with the supervisor, make sure the whole boarding is smooth and the plane door close, take off!

As for the shift, there's a roster and practically you can start work at any timing... usually it will be round the same timing for the week, then you get your off days, then your new week may start on another timing.

It's a good experience to work in the airport, you learn lots and it will be a good working experience to relate for your interview to become a FA.
By the way, there's a bond to the job, it should be 1 year (excluding training) if there isn't any changes.

Hope above helps!

Thanks to all dears for your help!
no point having a dispute over such a matter ya?
Peace peace~

Yea my dear corines143,
u're absolutely right about me persuing to be an air stewardess.
However, i was kinda disappointed with my previous attempt. Sighs. Anyhow, i'd just take up a relevant job first before the next interview comes along, rather than i just hang around at home ya?
Thanks alot for ur help too dear. <3

Love ya guys! ^^

You need a Good honors degree before SIA calls you up for their Generalist Position. SATS usually holds walk-in interviews for their airport positions so maybe u want to look out for it in the papers... I think they usually advertise on Fridays
