Are you gals talking about Customer Services Officer (CSO) under SATS?
Make sure you get the title right, because there's Customer Services Agent (CSA) under SATS too.
As for CSO, minimium Diploma qualification to apply for the job.
CSO basic pay is slightly higher than CSA, about $1000+ excluding allowances.
CSO 'take charge' of flights, depends on your roster, you take charge of flights during check in, departure and arrival.. etc.
CSO holds more responsiblity than CSA and you decide what action to take when flights are overbooked, passengers with excess baggages.. etc.
During departure flights, you make sure you have all passengers in the plane before departure time, liaise with the supervisor, make sure the whole boarding is smooth and the plane door close, take off!
As for the shift, there's a roster and practically you can start work at any timing... usually it will be round the same timing for the week, then you get your off days, then your new week may start on another timing.
It's a good experience to work in the airport, you learn lots and it will be a good working experience to relate for your interview to become a FA.
By the way, there's a bond to the job, it should be 1 year (excluding training) if there isn't any changes.
Hope above helps!
