I've read through this thread with great interest, and must say congratulations on your Visa!

I am quite new to the business plan aspect and would like to get some help with this. My business is in the music field, so it's also in the creative area, but more in the education arena.

Can anyone help me draw up a good business plan? Or at least
point me in the right direction?

Thank you!

Thanks Eagle,

I've gone and looked at entrepreneur.com, which has a detailed
business plan help section. I look forward to learning more at the
thread link you posted.

Best regards,

R

I used the info on this site to create my business plan. Very intuitive advice. So thank you.

I would suggest to keep it simple and straightforward. I used testimonials from existing clients and copies of contracts that I am keeping in the plan so it was bigger than 10 pages - which they say it shouldn't be bigger than.

I also posted mine from the UK and enclosed a covering letter with the $40 in cash. I know I shouldn't have taken the risk but it did work. I also followed up my application with an email to make sure that the money or plan hadn't dissapeared. That's not a dig at anyone just a fact of life wherever you are in the world so please it is not meant to offend anyone.

I'm a graphic designer so really jazzed it up and made it look creative to show off my skills. I don't know if it helped but sometimes its the small details that count and in my case worked.

And last but not least just keep persevering. I wrote mine 3 times before I was happy. I gave it to a few friends to read first for opinions. Better to get it right 3rd time and get the entrepass on first application rather than having to appeal etc etc.

Good luck and keep us posted.
