T-Shirts

Post by Florian » Wed, 07 Mar 2007 4:10 pm

Hi there!

I need advices on:

where to get cheap but reasonable quality plain coloured t-shirts and
where to get the imprints for the t-shirts?

Any price idea - let's say for 100 shirts?
My fashion line will be off the hook!!!Anybody wants to join?

imprints can be found in many places , but expensive abt 12-16 per piece for a better quality t-shirt. if u are looking at creating your own brand name on t-shirts...

where is your shop located? in singapore?

one can always outsource clothes from places where labor cost are much lower, eg. vietnam and china. but you will really need to get a good outsourcer to find you the best deal there.

we also need to take into account of the logistic issue- the cost of shipping the clothes to your shop.

if u r serious about this venture, why don't u source materials and labor from vietnam? there r big factories producing clothes for major brands like adidas, nike, etc..

however, i m not sure about the minimum quantity required.

btw, what is your biz model like? need any website? any online marketing plans n strategies?

let's chat!

I suppose try out this method instead. Get quotes from at least 3 companies - check out their client base, their products, are you able to blend into their workflow or are they able to customise into ur workflow? The pricing & the type of material. If You are not an expert in choosing material maybe You wanna go down to 1 of the companies, choose your ideal cloth type, n get quote from others?

ooo.. You gotta do some planning then. How many T-shirts projected to be sold? Your biz might seem simple, but there's alot that need to be done. like sizing ( there's US, UK charts etc) and all that. You need to ask urself:

whom You selling to. The market?
Projected sales? (can be calculated by the method of sales channel + flow)
The cost (amount per 100 or so..)(other fees)
Then work out how many clothes You reqiured.

But if You start to stratch Your head already, maybe You can drop me an email & I help You work it out from there, as a gesture of friendly :D
