I am planning on coming to Singapore in the next couple of months and try to get some work there. I am doing this for the experience and not for the money (I dont expect to save any) and I would like your opinion about my prospects:
I am a French native and have worked in the UK and Australia for the past 5 years. I am currently employed as an IT manager (for the past 2 years) and also have over 2 years experience working in call centers (in French and English).
I do not have any IT qualification beyond my french A-levels, however I cumulate 4 years of experience working in tech support (in both languages as well).
My plan so far is to go to Singapore asap and give myself 1 month to find a job (pretty much any job). Failing that I'll just go back to the UK.
My questions:
-Is fluent French useful in Singapore? Is it sought after? I know Manpower are looking for French-speaking customer service representatives but is it a rare occurence?
-Any chance to get an IT/Tech Support job, or do I have a better chance getting bilingual call center work?
Thanks in advance for your help
