Where can I get bridesmaid dresses made?

Hi,

Any recommendations for somewhere to make my bridesmaid dresses? Just a simple design, nothing too complicated. I have tried some bridal shops but they are very expensive. Don't want cheap cheap either (sure you get what you pay for!!!) Also are there good areas to go for fabrics?
