hi. u're also a poly grad. wad course were u studying then cos i heard tht students with dip in tourism & hositality will have first priority, is tht true?
anw may i ask u how did u get by the info abt recruitment of staff? thru sch? forum? newspaper?
To Lynn: oh.. i was studying in SP Biz admin, but i majored in "supply chain management" which includes modules that learn about airplanes, airplanes parts, airplane freight forwarding, airports terminals, etc.. I'm not sure how they prioritise their recruitments.. Sorry abt that.

as for the interview date, i was totally lucky.. i had this module in sch that needed me to write a resume as a project.. and i need to go online to find their advertisement.. so happen that SIA was having a recruitment drive abt 3weeks later, they posted it on their SIA website(under CAREERS section).. i was still schling in oct, only grad on feb, but since i already had a resume done up nicely for SIA, i just decided to try for it, take it like a form of experience and exposure.. guess i was plain lucky to pull thru it..

they do post their advertisement on newspapers too! i've seen it b4.. dun remember its The Newpaper or its The Classified. well.. either one.. and from wat i see, the peeps in this forum do post up, up coming recruitment drives.. just browse arnd when ya free?

well i think wat they look for is presentation. dress smart, speak well. that's all i guess. oh, and of coz, good complexion. they literally shine HUGE white light onto ur face to check for scars or bad complexion.

hm.. i hope my advice is enough? anything else can PM me or just reply here. hugz..

To xdysee: congrats babe, hope we'll get to see each other at the training centre or maybe during flight..

To M: hi! are u local? anyways, hope we'll be friends. the more the merrier. do u know anyone who needs a roomie at changi green? i'm still looking for a room to rent there. maybe can share one. :)

To M: hi! are u a air steward or stewardess? Stephen? Should be steward right? Thank you very much. how long have u been flying? are u local? anyways, hope we'll be friends. the more the merrier. :)
wow, u're really lucky, congrats anw! so u sent ur resume to them at ur 3rd yr in poly? & u went for interview after or b4 getting the dip?
i'm thinking of taking the airline route after i graduated from poly :) for ur info, i'm in poly 2nd yr. :)
besides, are they really concern abt heights? cos i stand 1.58m tall which is the benchmark of the requirement. my complexion is ok, just that i'm conern abt the height. anw how tall are u if u are willing to tell :D

To Lynn: Thanks.. i didn't send them my resume, i just saw their recruitement drive on their website.. went down for their "on the spot" interview.. yeah i went for their interview during my year 3 final sem.. that was on 30th oct, i had my last exam paper on 8th feb.. i completed my medical on 30th nov, and had no contact since.. till i finally emailed them and told them ive completed my dip.. i think u dun need to apply or worry abt he interview now, the min req for cabin crew is dip, even if u apply now i dun think they'll pass u.. coz u haf way tooo long to grad.. they might prob tell u to try again once u grad from poly.. dun rush into it babe.. for height, min is 158, and they choose they girls by batches.. so it depends on r luck, if the girls who are being interviewed wif u are much taller and better, of coz they'll pick them instead.. but if ya better than them, they'll pick u.. :) i'm approxiamately 165 wifout shoes..

To M: Thanks babe.. but i can't PM u yet, coz i'm too "newbie" to use that PM feature.. Dun have enough post.. :X

Mary's from HR. SHe'll be the one sending you the email and stuff. By the time you know your friend is not in your class, it'll be too late to do anything. I don't think they'll allow you to switch batches? But you can try.

He's right. You don't get to choose your batch number. If I wanna, I would love 666 or 999?

A lady said it was possible. She said i can try.
