It doesn't hurt to call I guess?xdysee wrote:hi people,
i passed my management and did my medical in mid jan.
I'd stated my availability as 'after april' as im currently pursuing my degree and will only be done with my final exams in april.
till now, i've yet to receive any news from SIA after my medical.
Should I give them a call or wait for them to call?
really hope to make sure that i did clear medical and be scheduled for training in may..
my friends who are currently flying told me they will call once my availability draws near. but some said they might forget to call.
the uncertainty is getting abit too much for me..
i think he went in JAN if im not wrong... or dec... either this 2 la..xdysee wrote:hmm prolly i will call down..
eh.. camperboy,
which recruitment did ur frene went for?
cos my frenes told me they can only schedule u for training 1-2wks before ur stated availability.. so kinda surprised tt ur frene is sure of his/her training date now..
if u got the HR number, call them to ask lor, if not wait for them to call u, if u fail ur med, they won't waste ur time and their time also cos everytime i go HR department the stack of application form always reach my hip level, they are consider quite efficient la, if u cannot they will juz tell u and case close, very straight forward one.xdysee wrote:hi people,

To xdysee: I went for sia interview in oct 2006, i was still schooling back then. infact, the only one (i'm aware of) who went for an interview when i was still schooling, the rest were mostly working, so they can quit their jobs in a month or two.
Guess we are in about the same situation. (KIV) or something?
KIV - SIA puts u on hold. While they wait for ur full documents for HR formality sake. Full documents: includes ur results for ur degree, and most imptly, ur graduation cerf.
I too passed all interviews and medical. i just completed my dip from sp, and i emailed to "Sheryn(Recruit Head)" my graduation transcripts. The following day the HR management called me to ask me to submit them personally.
Well just last week, i've recieved a call to start my training this 4th April. but b4 that, just like u, they didn't contact me at all after my medical. but i heard from my batch of interviewed girls. those that have failed medical, they will be informed by a "rejection" letter from SIA. I'm not sure how true that is. But if u didn't recieve it just like me. i guess they've put u on KIV.
One thing for sure is, u have to email them when u get ur graduation transcripts, scanned and prove to them u have all the needed documents. Once they are convinced, just wait for the phonecall! *winkz*
Oh yah! Just a friendly advice: Try not to call the HR to ask abt ur details, coz i heard from my friends who called, they seem very busy with their recruitment drive. They prefer not to have unnecessary phonecalls. Just email them, they do read their mails daily.
Hope to see u in SIA! hugzz~
