St Patricks (Paddy's Day) Celebrations...Calling all irish!

Postby FelineUK » Mon, 05 Mar 2007 12:12 pm

Well its come around real quick but I understand that Saturday March 17th is St Patricks Day....

And I was thinking that in true Irish style we should celebrate and do a tour of the Irish pubs in town. I have spoken with the Dubliner staff and they for some reason are starting a week early.... But I will have more words with them about this....

So who fancies the celebration???? If we list all of the irish bars in here that are good fun we can sample the 'healing water' in each place and enjoy the festivities!! Get your stamina levels ready!

Oh! Hooray! :-) My last Paddy day experience was fantastic but it took a grand total of 3 days to recover.

Well, I would say ending the journey at Muddy Murphy's would be the best. They have a live band and it will be a royal craic. :-) Not to mention, everyone will be grand ...... :-D

Hope it's ok to post this (if not, I'm sure it will disappear :) ). NB it's on the Sunday, so keep back a bit of energy.

St Patrick’s Day Parade - Sunday, March 11th 2007 at 3.30pm
Assembly point – the Riverfront near Parliament House
*************************************************
Singapore is going to host their second ever St. Patrick’s Day Parade this year!
The 2006 Parade was a spectacular show with lots of international flavour and this March 11th promises to be an even bigger event!
Not to be missed!

It is probable that many of you could parade under one of the many Irish society banners –
but the St Patrick’s society of Singapore would to love to have you amongst us!

We will be proud to parade our 60 years of bringing Irish people together in social and cultural setting on this very special occasion.
We hope that many of our members and friends will be able to come together and join us on the day.

Sorry, I've maybe confused you. I understand the parade is the day after the ball.

(I'm not Irish, just been roped in by a friend who is.)
