Usually means bedroom without attached bathroom. Bathroom will be off common living area and may be shared. "master-room" usually means bedroom with en-suite bathroom and will be more expensive.

I thought common room referred to the "Hall" or "Living Room" as it's commonly referred to in the US. Generally if you were to rent a non-master bedroom (with in-suite bathroom) then you would generally have usage of the 'common room' along with the common bathroom.

it means a non-master bedroom as sms said or a room without a bathroom attached or inside as skye said...

or it could mean a room for common usage as is the case in my condo. Where there a 12m by 12m room near the guard house called the common room. It may be used by residents for kids parties or yoga classes etc
