moving to singapore

Hi, im looking to move to, live and work in singapore soon, but im looking to find any employment positions if I can in the IT sector.

I have applied for many jobs for an international financial institution but i keep being knocked back because of my lack of financial institution experience, even though i have all the required skills, degrees, and 8 years experience in IT and a variety of layouts and markets.

I have also been having problems with singapore job agencys as most replys i recieve from work applications are 'sorry, singaporeans only', to which I understand, but im wanting a list of any agencys that help out Expats, or indeed purely Expat agencys, as I plan to move to Singapore soon and I would much prefer to walk into employment to start my new life

Im also looking for what I like to call an Expat partner
basically Ill be arriving alone to look to start a new life, and its much easier if you are more than one person, as you can pull together. So if anyone out there is thinking of moving to singapore aswell let me know, and maybe we can arrange to travel together and find a shared accomodation, im very easy to live with

You aren't going to have much luck applying as a generic IT person, since there's lots of those willing to work for lower pay in Singapore already. What did you do during your previous 8 years? Can you capitalize on that experience?
