Re: Jobs in Singapore
Hi,
I am currently on Dependent Pass in Singapore. I have over 12 years of Experience as a Business Analyst. Its been over a month now and i am struggling to get a Job. i have contacted almost all the recruitment agencies and also have contacted people on Linkedin but to no avail.
Can any one let me know if there is any recruitment agency through which i can speed up things and get a job. Any help would be highly appreciated.
Regards..

I judge it very difficult for foreigners to land a job in Singapore. You may wish to read my other posts on the subject.hiteshmehtani wrote:Hi,

Agreed. As election is in the near future, I would expect some tightening on jobs for foreigners, from granting of work permit to getting your PR, I would believe the election effect will affect these areas given the need for the politicians to put Singaporeans first. This is my 2 cents worth, does not represent the opinion of the crowd at large.Strong Eagle wrote: ↑Fri, 10 May 2019 7:49 pmI judge it very difficult for foreigners to land a job in Singapore. Yes, pretty clear that the point is to put the signature line out. Accurate but dated information.sundaymorningstaple wrote: ↑Tue, 30 Jul 2019 2:46 pmHey Strong Eagle, looks like a parrot is trying to roost among the eagles! lol

I found a job here at the age of 47. I found another job here at the age of 57. I retired at the age of 71. I'm afraid I cannot agree with you.

Actually, in addition to tiktok being a troll/wacko it's pretty apparent he is also a racist also.

This is not a jobs board. Try JobsDB or Monster - moderator

It might be a waste of time but let me explain where I'm coming from.sundaymorningstaple wrote: ↑Mon, 13 Jan 2020 7:15 pmActually, in addition to tiktok being a troll/wacko it's pretty apparent he is also a racist also.
As a caucasian male who has worked in several countries, I recognize that I would not be where I am with a different background. Immigration officers give me just a little leeway. Some interviewers hold some biases or preconceptions. Managers may have felt more comfortable with me. Some clients feel I have more "gravitas". And so on in thousands of subtle ways that shape a career path.
It happens the world over and it's disgusting and counter-productive.
