Change to EP rules

Post by dbenne22 » Fri, 16 Feb 2007 4:17 pm

I believe there have been some changes to the EP rules from 1/1/07: if you leave a job then you are given 6 months or so to find a new job, and in that time your EP is still valid.

I have searched the MOM website but cannot find any reference to this change - can anyone direct me to the right place ?

Not quite right. Beginning Jan 01 2007 the "Personal Employment Pass" has been implemented. If you have already held an EP for at least two years you can apply for a PEP and have up to six months of part time work and finding a new position.
