Hey! :)

 Welcome to this beautiful neighbourhood.
Here r some hot-spot u can check-up where d expat in this area hangs...

1) BFD - East Coast Pk, nxt to MacD (u'll find expats & their family chilling out during d weekends)

2) Dogs & Bone - Upp East Coast Rd (a fave joint for expats to meet other expats... internationaly)

3) Georges Mad Bar & Cafe - East Coast Rd, b4 Siglap Ctr

4) Chevy - Katong Village

5) not forgetting d supermarket, e.g: Cold Storage @ Parkway / Siglap Ctr / Katong Mall...

6) 360 degree Cable Ski Park - East Coast Pk (lots of expats mum bring their tots for ski lessons...)

7) Register yrself to cooking classes, wine appreciating classes, flowers arrangement classes, etc... u'll get to meet other expats mum + interact w/ d locals too.

The bottom line is, be open & adventural! Approched instead of waiting to be approch.
And in less than 8 mths, i'm already part of this lovely community! :P

Feeling bored? U may wanna consider getting a pet. Count yourself lucky to be staying in the east. There r some v good n friendly pet shops in Lorong L Telok Kurau, this place called Bright Centre. There is also a v good n reputable The Animal Clinic, too. I always bring my dog to the vet for check up. There is even a pet friendly cafe too.
