Ok...so in 5 years global sea levels will be 20 feet higher, and there will be no snow to snowboard on...so let's go wakeboarding!!
a friend of a friend owns this store called The Board Shop. His name is Mike and he organizes weekly outings to i think Batam to go wake boarding. The cost is $80 SGD and the bus leaves around i think 8:30 am from some delifrance somewhere and you return around 5 pm.
I'm going to go this weekend on Saturday. Anyone else interested?
The website is
www.the-board-shop.com. And mike's email is
[email protected].
I've never been wakeboarding before but am an intermediate level snowboarder...anyways would be nice if anyone else is in town for new year to go as well!

Hi, I am up for it every weekend from this week.
I am new to Singapore so have no idea where I can do wakeboading.
I've been wakeboarding for 7 months back in Australia (still a beginner I suppose) and would love to get back into it.
Drop me an email so we can meet up on the day and go wakeboarding together.

Did once only but failed to stand up successfully...
Want to check with you on a particular day - 7th Apr. If there's one session falling on that day, we are in! Keep us informed!

ok...
there's a session every weekend
i went sat mar 10.
it's cable riding ... so u use a wake board but it's a cable pulling you around the island.
a session is $80.
the first few times...beginners like me went around on a knee board. after the third try i made it all the way around the circuit. it's really tiring and ur shoulders will get tired...
after getting the hang of the kneeboard (think riding a board in yoga child's pose holding on to a cable)...moved on to the wake board...and well on day 1 wasn't able to stand up...
but gonna keep trying as i had a great time. they have a nice bar where u can drink beer / soda and a pool table and board games if u don't want to do it anymore.
but it was quite funny to see me continuously falling down as the cable pulls me ... oh well. everyone's gotta start somewhere.

Looks like good VFM compared to the Cable 360 here in SG:
http://www.cable-ski.com/rates.html
EDIT - tho I've been told 2 hrs at Cable 360 is $65 and I'd defy anyone to do more than 2 hrs and be able to move the next day...
