Classic Traditional Chinese Acupuncture and massage

Postby lost_canuck » Wed, 07 Feb 2007 7:31 pm

Can anyone recommend a practitioner?

From what I understand, it is not only acupuncture but acupressure as well, in a whole treatment of the body, not just for certain complaints.

I met a guy in Canada who did it but not had any luck since then. Also need someone who does deep tissue massage, MIL coming to visit and has muscle complaints. :)

I found a good place where they give deep tissue massage. And cost about $20 for 20 - 30 minutes.

The place is Chinese Accupressure Centre 71-A Pagoda Street - phone 6535-1539.

Its on the 1st floor - a walkup - just to warn you. If you have big difficulty walking up stairs, u might want to try another place.

You get off at Chinatown MRT and go up to the Pagoda Street exit. Come out of the escalotor - Look right and its there. Just next to the bbq sweet meat (bak kwa?) shop.

I tried the massage place a few times already- its very good- its a family run business, all the masseurs are brothers- surname Soo. They also employ two other blokes- but I found them to be too gentle.

Dunno... but I have a friend who swears by one... I'll go ask.

If you're in Melbourne however, - there is this fantastic Professor - Prof Wong Lun who heads the Traditional CHinese Medicine School - its at Union Street Northcote, Melbourne. The dude is amazing. He could tell that I had too much sex - at that time I was with a hot chick - just by looking at me. Another time, I was under severe stress- and he could that thru observation too.

However it takes about 2 months to secure a visit - he's that popular.

Acupuncturist

Postby Sinvan » Thu, 15 Feb 2007 3:53 pm

Changes, sorry, can not pm you yet. Would you mind if I ask you to send me pm with the same info? I am looking for good acupuncturist as well. I had excellent experience with acupuncture treatment before, but it was in another country. It would be nice to find a reliable specialist here as well, preferably on East Coast.
Best regards
Life is wonderful, but amusing
