I'm a expat-singapore.com site regular, but the heavy-handed censorship there is worse than reading the local politics page in the Straits Times.

We currently do not have any strict guidelines for political posts. But we advice our visitors to practice constraint on posting sensitive political issues. We discourage negative messages or defamating remarks against the Singapore government or political names. Being discrete about certain topic is always better than overly expressive.
Nevertheless, healthy discussions about pros and cons of government policy or new ruling will always be welcomed.
