There is a Lion Dance performance by a troupe from China every evening (except Mon) at 6:30pm at Chinatown Point on New Bridge Road.

A chinese friend told me a story about the Chingay Parade...

thought i'll share it here... it's quite interesting...

My friend had a girl-friend (Not romantically)... this girl is over 30 and had no plans of getting married or whatsoever...doesn't even have a bf...

she's working and earning above average and leading a very good life actually...

She went to watch this Chingay parade...not for any special reason...

then there was this guy who was standing next to her watching the parade as well...

asked her about the parade... and she explained to this guy what's the rationale and the history, etc...

1 year later they got married...

nothing spectacular but sweet...

just thought of sharing it...
