Hair Colour - Beware

Post by Sabanian » Wed, 31 Jan 2007 7:42 pm

My worst experience ever... :o

Asked the hairdresser for colour, she gave me a "L'oreal" hair colour template, I told her exactly, what hair colour I want. She respondes "yes, and I mix some other colour.... that's nicer". I ended up with yellow hair, thought ok mistakes can happen, she was upset, coloured a second time, this time I ended up with red hair colour. I told her, she shall give me the colour I showed her at the template, she said "....we do not have that colour...". What means, I thought this hairdresser would use ORIGINAL COLOUR FROM L'OREAL, in reality they just showed me the templates from L'oreal and mixed their own colours from cheaper ingredients from China.
In the end, whole staff came together and provided me finally the colour I wanted. I do not blame the staff.
They shop did not even offer me a "free treatment" (after 3 colours!!!), just ended up with that stupid "...hope to see you again..." thing.
Happend in HV, they will never see me again...

Just be careful and let them show the original package of the colour before doing this job....

The L'oreal products were actually shelved, but what I did not know was, that the salon obviously ordered only a few of the main colours from L/oreal to get the "colour template card" (you know what I mean). All the not so everyday/colours they seem to mix together by themselves from cheaper colours from elsewhere...

So, I think you can go there, but insist that they show you the original package, which they are going to use on you and compare the number on the package with the number on the template, just to make sure.

Another salon at HV I used to be customer too, until my hairstylist never stopped telling me....you have wrinkles, you have to use this or that product, yes we sell it here...... She herself was an older chinese lady with a lot of wrinkles :o so obviously the product is of no use or she did not use it.... I decided I can spend my money elsewhere as well and feeling a lot better too without such unnecessary comments.

I am not a difficult customer at all and am currently looking for a new hairstylist, wish me luck, please!
