I've visited the local Guardian pharmacy and out of curiosity I enquired about the price of atenolol 100mg, which is what my doctor put me on for my blood pressure.
What I found was a HUGE price difference.
Doctor: $30 / box.
Pharmacy: under $8 for same sized box
I naturally now want to buy from the pharmacy, but how does one go about getting a script when it's in the doctor's interest to keep you as *their* customer?
Are there any non-dispensing doctors about who don't charge an arm and a leg for consultation?
