Thinking of taking a family trip for the Chinese New Year and found this resort. Has anybody been there recently and/or could recommend it. Was wondering if all the flooding would have impacted on the hotel and beach. We've been to Malaysia before and know the standard is not as high as Thailand etc but would like to explore the local area. If anyone could suggest a beach hotel for some "getting away from the city" time would be appreciated. Not really willing to fly as flights are all booked for most places and had considered Malacca but were there a few months ago.
Would also like to know what the sea is up to at this time of year over in Malaysia. Would there be surf or is it calm?
Thanks.
