1st Page 2000

Good place to start for a basic very simple site and to help teach you html. The best part is is simple and free. There are a number of other free programs out there that are even easier in as much as they use some drag & drop features. I built my own site and have been maintaining it using this for over 2 years. (I don't use flash so I cannot help you there - although google is your friend.) This version is a free version of Eversoft (older stripped down model - great for just starting out.

Good Luck

You can actually make very nice web pages using Microsoft Word. You use backgrounds, tables, pictures, etc to design the website that looks right for you.

Now, if you are referring to someone who has the moxie to create a website with pizzazz... ie, brand you, that is a different story.

I develop website on free time. PM me if you need help.

If you want to learn, start from the basic HTML, tonnes of HTML guide out there, just google it. One can write webpage just by using Notepad.

I have to against on using Word to make webpage if you are serious on web development, you will see the different if you look into the source code.

That's why I didn't mention it either. However, I have used it before then open it up in 1st Page 2000 and highlight the superfluous crap not needed and deleted same to streamline the page.

depends how serious you are. if your a tech'e like me (and a number of others here) learn HTML then run "notepad" ;-). if you then want to learn more there is: JavaScript, DOM, CSS etc. on the clientside and loads of programming languages on the serverside (php, asp, asp.net etc.).

if you are not a technically inclined person i suggest getting a website/webpage editor like the guys above mention and ignore the ("it puts loads of rubbish code in" like comments above). if your a serious website developer you dont use tools like that in the first place ;-)

good luck!

cheers

Paul.
