Getting a driving license

Post by brifusg » Sat, 20 Jan 2007 2:14 pm

Hi,

Plan to obtain a car driving license in Singapore this year. Could someone give me a brief about classes of license coz I am not very sure which class I shld go. Quite confused actually.

Also, I understand that there will be Theory and Practical tests. I will appreciate much if someone could help me how one could prepare for the Theory tests. For practical tests, it is great if someone could recommend me some good driving centers.

Thanks a lot.

HI there,

Most Singaporeans usually go to Bukit Batok Driving Centre, located in the West part of SIngapore.

Here is the website. From what I heard is that getting a Class 3 License ( thats for cars). is expensive and difficult.

Here 's the link :

www.bbdc.com.sg

look under courses and choose class 3.

Yup, I'm taking up 2B.. tomorrow is my first lesson.. I don't think they do have automatic motorcycles.. they are also using Hondas for their lessons (CG125)

Why? What happened to you at BBDC?

Guys, really appreciate your help. So the class I shld go is either Class 3 or Class 3A. Am I right to say that these driving centers also conduct theory and practical tests?
Thanks

Hey Brifu, you should take your class 3, thats for cars. Depending on your stay location or wch is convenient ,,you can go to www.bbdc.com.sg or the link that Vink gave you.

Both theory and practical will be covered. No worries. As for BBDC, you get to choose your instructor according to their high passing rates. If I am not wron you have to pay a few more dollars per practical lesson.. to be with a well qualified instructor. :D

These are the steps for getting a class 2B license. I believe that getting a class 3 is roughly the same... parallel theory and practice, with exams and a provisional license.
