Hey everyone. Just wondering if I can get some advice/opinions on the job offer I'm getting:
Basically, it's a 1-yr contract job as a Tier 2 Windows system administrator for a major financial institution. However, the contract is with an agency...and they're offering just a little over S$3k with health benefits. Period. Relocation assistance consists of roundtrip airfare and a few weeks of housing. After that I'm on my own.
Considering that I have no certifications yet, but with 4+ years in the industry....do you think this is a fair enough offer? Would it be a good idea to renegotiate, since I haven't signed anything yet anyways (if yes, what would be a safe figure)? Or should I just take it?
I'm really not in it for the money, but I would like to be able to live a bit comfortably...meaning, a decent room at a flat shared with other people, and still be able to go clubbing and maybe go on short trips to neighboring Southeast Asian countries on weekends.
Let me know your thoughts. =)
