Any good tour packages for the F1-Malaysian Grand Prix 2007?

Post by ridney » Fri, 19 Jan 2007 10:29 pm

Hi,

Anyone here can recommend me a good package tour for the 2007 F1 Malaysian Grand Prix? It's on the 8th of April. I have never really watched an F1 race live and I'm quite excited about this.

Any thoughts are welcomed.

Thank you,

Ridney

I bought tickets directly from the site:

http://www.malaysiangp.com.my/

There you also have a list of the travel agents who are official distributors in Singapore.

Haven't yet decided how to get there (bus, train, plane or rental); need to have a look what best suits for my travel times; and what the costs would be.

I never been to Sepang for F1; but if I correctly undestood during the grand prix days, there is shuttle bus service from the Airport. There is alsoa direct and quite quick train connection from KL Sentral. Therefore booking a hotel in the city should not be a problem.

Of course if there's someone whose been there earlier years, tips would be great.

ohh ... may have to look into this myself.

Will be in singa before the F1 season starts so this will probably be my only race to go and watch for 07.

Advice for those that have never seen F1 cars before. Bring Earplugs.

Seriously ... they are THAT loud, it will physically hurt your ears without!

(especially if you are like me and try to get as close to the track as allowed!! :D

Went to Sepang from Singapore for 2005 race. Hell its hot during that time. The temp is too hot and uncomfortable. I do not advice people to visit Sepang. Very crowded and unbearably hot n dusty. The view is also not so great. Better go to one of the races in Europe.

This is a picture of a really bad F1 accident that happened here last year:
