hi idarita,
you've gotta do your personal study & research before embarking on any proposals you receive.
there are good stuff, and of course, there are bad stuff.
so study, ask for experienced opinions (not just your friends as they might be just as ignorant), and make an informed decision.

Such a venture is possible since people do of course work from home but a point that eludes many is; for the most part such persons are highly skilled; stuffing envelopes and cutting rubbers are bygone occupations.

On line business is difficult unless you have good marketing skills for a product or service that is in demand but that said there is much competition.

I would say don't believe on anything that request you to pay before earning. I also always strongly believe in no free lunch in this world.

If you are good in writting, maybe I can introduce you some freelance work.

If you are interested into venturing online business, that will be lot's hard work. From identifying what to sell, which online shopping software to use, payment gateway, online marketing and so on.

In any business it is back to the right effort, right strategy and with the right timing and opportunity.

It is still the people who drive the business.

Internet business, I believe, is easier to kick start compare to traditional business.

Good luck. :)

There are many different types on online or Internet businesses where one can start at home.

*. Post Sales (Ecommerce)
*. Affiliates Sale
*. Online Auction and Selling (eg ebay)
*. Advertising
*. Pay Per Click (PPC)
*. License Profit
*. Subscription
*. Leads selling

I tried ebay (Singapore), which is FREE for local Singapore Market. Managed to make a few sales, while clearing unwanted stuffs in my room.

well to run online auctions is not hard.

to run an online auctions business requires a solid business plan, with sound strategies... and marketing - online & offline!

idarita, perhaps all you really need is to spend some time getting books from the stores / libraries and read up on marketing techniques.

seriously, effective marketing & sales are the line of work that truly bring in the revenue.
not 9-5 employee work.

you are looking in the correct direction... boils down to seiving for something that gets you to your end-point... and something you see yourself doing straight-off, or with some self/group training.

Just wanted to say "Work from Home Business really Work

Post by stayhomemillionaire » Tue, 23 Jan 2007 5:06 pm

Hi Idarita,

I was just reading through your post and I would like to encourage you to find out more about internet based work from home opportunities because it really works :)

However, there are a few things you need to be aware of:
1) There are a lot of scams out there online
2) There are also a lot of legitimate online businesses that really make money for you from home

The best way to start is to learn about affiliate marketing.

An affiliate is someone who gets paid for referring customers to websites owned by legitimate companies.

You can get paid by the amount of unique visitors that you refer to a particular website or % of sales generated from these visitors and many other ways differing from site to site.

The great thing is affiliate programs are a plenty out there on the internet. Just go to Google or Yahoo and type in "Affiliate programs" You will find tons of affiliate programs that you can join FOR FREE. Yes, they are all FREE to join.

How you make money is by promoting an advertising link or advertisement banner through email, your blog, your forum links, your website etc...

For more details, you can read up more by searching "affiliate marketing" in Google

I have been quite successful marketing as an affiliate on the internet for big and small legitimate companies as well and I really enjoy doing this for a living because it helps me make money while I sleep

Don't expect to become filthy rich overnight though, it takes time to learn the ropes and get results. So I hope you can also make it online as well.

If you need more info, you can always PM me or reply to this post.

We do not allow the advertising of MLM schemes, furthermore signature lines should be kept to one line. Any further violation will result in your account being blocked.

I am also on the verge of setting up my online business and theres lots of problems i am facing too. I have been selling at ebay for like 1.5 years already and so far its a good experience i would say. Anyway eBay Singapore is free to list unlike the international sites. Regarding bout work from Home plan...i know there are lots of scams out there because i once wasted USD $5 to sign to a site which says will introduce me jobs. Cant remember what happen later but i do know they still continue to ask me to pay up a huge price on some stuffs if i really want that job.
