Hi everyone,
I am a Filipino and a SPR holder, my wife is not and is currently working in the USA.
I have a daughter who is now 20 years old (January 4, 1986-date of birth) and just finish IT (Feb 1, 2007-date of graduation) in one of the best schools in the Philippines.
I am planning to apply SPR for my daughter only . Is it possible eventhough my wife is not an SPR?
My wife cannot come to Singapore by this time due to work and budget problems. I am worried that since my daughter is approaching 21 years old i may not be able to apply SPR for her and if my wife can come it may be too late already.
Can i apply SPR for both of them eventhough they are not in Singapore?
I will try to produce a photocopy of those relevant certificates, passports etc. for both of them.
Please advice.
Best Regards
Bong

Looks like you have left it too late 21 is the limit, and your daughter is over 21 by 13 days.
I would suggest you contact the office below asp to see what you can do, does she already hold a dependant pass? Not that it will help now, I'm afraid.

Hi,
Many thanks for the reply.
My daughter is only 20 years now and will be 21 by next year-04Jan07.
She is not a dependent pass holder.
Do we still have a chance to get a SPR?
Best Regards,
Bong

Sorry for the typo error.
She's now 20 years old (2007) and 21 years old by next year (Jan 4, 2008).

Then the answer is yes, apply for her PR now! In fact wait untill she gets her degree on the first of February, it may ease the application, although in reality it shouldn't matter! She is entilteled to PR status if she is your daughter.

If you have a family, no point applying without them. If anything, it will only worsen your chances.
