we have just relocated to singapore and have been looking to rent a semi-d house. and have found a 5bhk, minimum 3000sqft built-in with a private pool ,around the Australian International School area (upper serangoon or bradell)it is about 10mins distance from there and 5 mins from the mrt. are there many expats living in that area, what are the facilities like around there(supermarkets, hospitals, amenities etc). Is it safe to live in a semi-d? how much rental can we expect to pay for something like this. we want a realistic opinion as agents always paint a rosy picture and quote higher rents. we would like to compare the quotes and see if there is any room for negotiations as well would apreciate any input.
