My husband I will be relo to Singapore soon with child to be Sr. in SAS next year. Would you locate near SAS or closer to Orchard area? Totally green about all of this. Want to have friends for him. thanks for any help.

hi robseman, not sure if i can help much, but the orchard area can be really expensive (and it is getting more so by the day). plus the area is almost entirely high-rise condo, so depending on what you like ... (you said nothing detailed about where you are comming from). I haven't personally been up to the where SAS is, but the public transit here is excellent, and the island is so safe that you should have no worries if you decide to live a ways away from the school. and wouldn't the school be able to give you an idea of where other families live?

Thank you for your kind reply. I think trying to locate near the school would be best. We are coming from Wisconsin.

the island is tiny. i wouldn't worry about living so close to the school.
wow, moving your son before senior prom is pretty brutal.

Nah! He'll think he's died and gone to heaven with all the eye candy here! Definitely a kid in a candy store!
