Some memory brands give life time warranty! You should still be able to find some in the repair shops in sim lim

No it isn't a new one, shouldn't cost more than a couple of $'s, becuase they are so out dated. although here they may try to sting you for more, use your judgement, what is reasonable, 5 or 10$ at most. I personally wouldn't pay any more, although you may even get two peices for that price, shop around.
Many old rams are collected through old scrapped computers, even the one you have, does have a value in a 3rd world Country, so they are all collected and sold on to 3rd world Countries. Repair no chance!
