Information regarding cadet pilot position!

Postby devan » Sat, 13 Jan 2007 7:15 pm

hi,

My name is Devan. I am Malaysian and am currently pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree at the University of Nottingham. I will be graduating in July and have aspirations to be a pilot. I have read the cadet pilot program on the SIA website and found it very appealing. Here are my questions that I would like to post:

1) What other airlines can I apply to for this sort of position? MAS website doesn’t have any info regarding such a program.
2) When are the intakes?
3) What are my chances of being selected with a degree?
4)What are the application procedures in-place?

No i am not british. i am MALAYSIAN, i just study in britian. Well i tried e-mailing SIA and MAS and i got no replyies, so this pokey free forum is my only hope for information. And i think this website is very commendable for giving insight to people in this region who aspire to join the aviation industry.

Devan,
To be quite blunt and brutal; this is the sort of information you should seek from the airlines themselves. Free forums are often misleading and unreliable.

I was going to suggest that myself but do remember Captain Lim is retired and may not have up to date information, still a good site though.
