Safety harness in taxi - what is it called?!

Post by Juliamck » Fri, 12 Jan 2007 12:54 pm

Hi all
I have heard of the harness that your child can wear in a taxi istead of a seatbelt. Can anyone tell me the name of it or where I can buy iy. It is called a "Joey Rider" or something similar. i have searched on Google but no luck.
Thanks
Julia

Email the US company joeysafe dot com for the email address of the local supplier.

http://www.joeysafe.com/

NB: it's okay to post the link to a company's website on this board, it's not the Angry Board.

Yes - have been using it for about a year now. We dont have a car and while I dont think it is as safe as using an actual car seat there comes a point where you just cant lug a heavy carseat, stoller, nappy bags etc etc around anymore. It keeps him in place and overall I'm very happy with it. I think you can get a similar thing here as well but it has a hard back on it - I pop the harness on before I call a taxi and leave it on until I get home most of the time. You cant put the other one on until you get into the taxi which isn't very practicle. Also I can fit this one into my handbag!
