Are you here on a LTSVP?

Post by sj23 » Wed, 10 Jan 2007 4:35 pm

Hi folks,

My partner has been offered a job in Singapore and we're heading over next week to check things out. We have lived in Hong Kong and Japan for the past two years. We are not married and I have been able to work in HK and Japan on a Working Holiday Visa. However I will be applying for a LTSVP for Singapore.

What's it like not working in Singapore when you're young and childless? Are there things to do? Are there many people in similar situations?

Are there employment opportunities to find when you're on a LTSVP?

Would appreciate your experiences and advice, thanks! :???:

Well if you young and childless there is pleanty of ways to waste yuou money and your time, unless your into charity.

Why don't you come over and you may be able to get a job once you get here and know a few people then you can change to an EP.
