HA! HA! HA! That was a trip unitended and yet it was a trip, mate fari! :D But then Kiran is a universal name.

Does anyone remember "Aamchi Maati Aamchi Maanas!"? How about "Top of the Pops" on Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM. Not to mention as time progressed, Yeh Joh Hai Zindagi? Who can forget Karamchand and Kitty?

I visited Bombay after a gap of 10 years in 2005. I decided to take the train from Hyderabad to Bombay. And I hogged every possible food available. Especially from Karjat to VT. The "wada-pav" was glorious, delicious and superlative. And of course, my favourite bhel wala near Churchgate and then the pav-bhaji fella near my college in Sion. Oh! memories. 8-) 8-)

Hey Kiran,

I am from SIES (school and college) Matunga and Sion. I am not sure when you did your +1 but I was there till 88. :-) So Guru Kripa was closest "fancy" joint. But opposite the college gate was a dosa wallah who made some excellent dosa. I think one of the walls still may have my name carved unless they have repainted the place. :-)

Chembur had a wada pav fella tucked in a deep corner abetting the railway tracks. The dude used to put cashew nuts in his samosa and we used to wait in the confined space while he make fresh hot wada and damn! did we gobble a few.

Phew! No more. I cant take it.

I was in the SIES Science college. I presume you are referring to the SIES Commerce college near the movie theater (Rupam? Sangam? I forget). By 1992, I was already into 1 year of my career.

Yikes! I feel grey but not old. :-)
