Chances of getting EP slim? Pls Help!

Post by cucumberstick » Thu, 04 Jan 2007 3:07 pm

Hi all,
I'm currently thinking of applying for EP to work in Singapore. My pay will qualify me for the P2 EP and i have a degree in accounting. I also have 2-3 years auditing/accounting experience and there is a big 4 company willing to sponsor me. Problem is i'm an ex-sporean, not aus citizen and i fear that this will hinder my chances of getting EP. I've tried the online test on the MOM website and it says chances of getting EP is likely. Does anyone esp HR managers that have any experience regarding this? Do you think i should even try applying?

Thanks. All help is greatly appreciated.

Apply for the EP in advance. If you get approval in principle, quit your job and come to Sing. If you don't, stay in Oz.

Once/if you've passed the interviews, get your company to apply for the EP before you come to Singapore. They'll vet your application and, if passed, issue the In-Principle Approval; you will then have six months to quit the old job, come over to Singapore and start your new job.
