You can use off the shelves hair tonics, but that only helps to a certain extent, I would advise you to see a doctor or specialist if you still want to keep your locks.

Maybe it's hereditary, I'm grey myself, started very young, also hereditary! I shouldn't worry about it, go with the flow! rather than spend loads of money on gimmicks.

Elton John is probably the expert, and it's cost him a small fortune i'll bet!

Back in my late 20's I shared an apartment with two young beauties, who kept on at me, to try a hair dye, It never worried me being grey at the sides, anyway one party night, i had, had far too much to drink, and the two girls dyed my hair The next morning I was so and disappointed,, although one does adapt to the colour.

It depends what part you're thinning. If at the top, try meds first (finasteride and minoxidil). If at the hairline, ultimately meds are not much of a help, in that case, hair transplant is the best -- quite radical and expensive too.

Having said that, meds are expensive too.
