Do you have to have perfect teeth to be part of the SIA crew? Cuz like i have one in-grown.. only one miserable tooth.
Does anyone of you think it's a stupid thing to do to turn up for the interview this coming weekend?
Because of this one in-grown tooth?

hi there
well you should just go and try out for it. dont worry too much. cos it is too late to do anything now. if u really do get booted out then worry abt it and get it fixed before the next interview..
just go ahead for now and do not fear. prepare yourselves and be confident .. smile!!!

Maybe we all should. Just for the fun of it!
Of course must be serious also lah. Do a little reading up on SIA first or something. We have to uphold our professional images and not appear as tho` our heads are in the clouds or something.

i think you have to make sure that your braces will be off by the time your training starts, should you be selected.
i`m not too sure about this part, but i`m gonna have braces too. but then again, i`m only trying in about 3 years time lol

hi there. just tell them when you put it on and if u know when it can be taken off. jst let them know and they will judge whether they can keep you from there.
dont worry so much, even if u dont get selected at least you went to check them out rite? be positive abt it..

Hi,
Just asking, how long does one need to put on the braces? Does it depends on how out-of-shape your teeth are?
To become SIA FA should we go for whitening as well? Would it be better? Anyone know how much whitening cost?

I would say you 'are putting the cart before the horse', suppose you don't get the job; you will have wasted your money.

i`m enrolling in sp.
i went for the consultation with my dentist and he said that i do not need orthodontics treatment. he says my teeth are straight enough and the treatment will only make a small difference. i think i`ll listen to him, although i do think that my teeth are not straight enough!

Plavt,
here are just some points i feel on teeth whitening. pls dont feel offended. i dont think the money spent on teeth whitening would be a waste even if we are not selected. I mean if we have real yellowish teeth, it would be good to beautify it too.
Joycee,
you are quite right. the duration you have to put your braces on depends on the "condition" of your teeth. From what i know it ranges from about 1 yr to as long as 4 yrs. But i heard from my friend that there is those "super-duper-fast" braces which last for only half a yr. those would be much much more expensive compare to the normal ones.

That's up to you if you feel you want to indulge in what you see as beauty treatment but your dentist should have done a good enough job. However, nobody mentioned 'yellowish' teeth so I was just going by what I read.
