Geez, chill anti spy this is a forum.. not an english class.. pffttt.

anyways.. from my experience, when i went on the interview some of the applicants are cabin crew.. 4-6 of em, i only saw 4 of em, but one said there are 2 other girls and theyre not on the same day as i was.. none of those 4 got in.. but i heard one of those two succeed.

i dont know why they didnt get in, maybe cuz theyre cabin crew but doesnt seem to answer the questions right, or event tho they cabin crew they cant answer what customer service is, or maybe simply SQ dont take those cabin crew because they sort of have (already) this well formed attitude that they have from the previous airline and it'll be hard to break off. i dun kno

so from what i see.. i think they'll take ex cabin crew as long as they fit the criteria and the whole package, like she can present herself and she reflects how good she is in the job in words (cuz they'll probably ask what u learn from ur job as a flight attendant, whats the hardest part or maybe what the hardest situation she's ever been in in a flight and how she handled it, those sort of stuff)
A dream is real only when you try to reach it. Eventho you fail in the process, its a start and you'll get better everytime. I Believe that.

A Dreamer

Definitely. I've seen crews from JAl and Jetstar with SIA. I think it makes sense and there isn't any other reasons why the airline wouldn't accept ex crews? :???:

Even with your flight experience, it might be tough because you do not meet the minimum requirements. Neverthless, one will never say no until he or she tries for it.

No need to be an idiot towards studies; in the UK there is the Open University known popularly as the OU and is open to foreigners although very expensive. However, you can obtain a degree or other qualifications using this method irrespective of what your job may be. There are also correspondence courses which enable you to study for lesser qualifications such as 'A' levels. I doubt that SIA will accept you without the minimum qualifications.

ex cabin crew

Post by xiangzhou_1984 » Fri, 16 Feb 2007 2:08 am

Ex cabin crew do have an added advantage. But take note, if you are ex crew from Silkair, you have an almost zero chance to join SIA. The only way from Silkair, which is a sister company of SIA, to transfer to SQ is if you have performed very well in Silkair for a min of 3 years, and then you can apply to transfer to SQ. If you quit and apply for SIA, chances are almost nil. This was implemented last year to stop the amount of Silkair girls crossing over.
