Any one has done eye bags removal, blepharoplasty?

Post by astrogirl » Mon, 18 Dec 2006 1:08 am

Hi

Any one has done eye bags removal or reposition of the fats under the eyes? To look more refreshed then to always look tired.

I did mine 5 weeks ago. I'm just wondering if anyone has any healing experience to share. I could only find healing info on plastic surgery websites, which is not very much.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I had mine done at the National Eye Centre (next to SGH) by Dr Fong Kee Siew. It worked. No more eye bags. Right eye has a slight pouch- but I dunno whether its residue or a mossie bite at the moment.

Um... its been over 10 days since the op and I have ok. The eyes feel a sore. But its improving everyday.

the first 5 days were horrible though. and it didn't help that I couldn't find a damn pharmacy that sold eye bag gel pack.

the stupid gel pack that the hospital provided developed unremovable mould spots on the 3rd day.

but otherwise everything is going great.

i think I applied too much of the hospital steroid eye drops- but the stuff kept bouncing off my eye lashes.

Anyhow the fat under the eyes have 99% gone- i look 10 years younger.

seems that fatty eyebags is hereditary... doesn't matter about exercise or sleeping early.

No of course not- the fat deposits will build up again.

but according to the good doctor it will take another 10 years to reach that level.

I'd say if you are in your 30s - just get it done. Cos your skin is still strong and firm and will bounce back into shape.

I don;t think any amount of exercise will reduce it.

I got mine done at the National Eye Centre- cost me S$2300 all up plus consultation and medication.

U also need a mate to bring you back home as your eyes will be totally buggered for the first 24 hours.

Asked about it some time back. Apparently some surgeons remove eye bags by taking out excess fat. Heard also that recently they redistribute the fat.
Just be careful about not removing too much fat.. as it may make you look more sunken and older sooner

How r u guys recovering?

Post by Pretty_Peeps » Mon, 17 Dec 2007 7:10 pm

Hi Astrogal & Sniper689,

Finally got my eyebags removed 3+ weeks ago. Finaly got tired off looking tired all the time.

No regrets. But now have scars under my eyes. Left eye : Scar from a normal cut along eye contour. Right eye : Slight bumpishness middle part of my right eye. This is making me sweat/ worried abit. is this normal??? Hope & pray i wont be scarred 4 life. Wonder how 2 are recovering from your op. Searched online but few eyebag op posts + every1 talks only of puffiness & bruising but no scarring.

I have no puffiness or bruising, Just SCARS! Pls enlighten so i can stop stressing & looking at e mirror every half hr. Eg. If u ve scar, how long yr doc said it'll take for it to disappear complately.. Ha. Thanks a bunch!!

The procedure is very quick, and im very satisfied with the results. :)
You can contact them at 6536 3636 or dial the 24hr hotline 8298 8000.

As you just registered today with the same name as the name of the clinic and have made 4 identical posts spamming throughout this forum, I will have to assume that you are advertising as well as spamming. Therefore I have deleted the other three posts. Any further mention of this clinic by you will result in the locking of your account.

I had mine done at Leslie Kwek's Plastic Surgeon clinic in Gleneagles.
this was done in 2000 and I am still quite happy. Yes indeed, I was told that the problem can come back in 10 years, but at this moment I am still safe!

There is bound to have some pain when they put the LA through the back of the hand. It's like a one time needle prick, at most 2 seconds?!?!?. For me that is. .....
NOT like a needle shoved under your skin and keep shoving and last for mins, NO.
If you have a phobia of needles or injection, it might be traumatic for you, but I doubt there's any other way if you are considering surgery.

Sorry I missed your post.....few months late..... But how are your scars doing? Was it a keloid?

I'm glad there are no more bags under my eyes, but looking at some angles, there is slight hollowness. But overall I prefer the no bags look! My doctor did the cut from the outside under my eyelash, there were no scars. I know there was a cut, but no one could tell even looking at me close up. Now, can't see the line at all.

I went to Dr Seah Chee Seng. I did other stuff and eye bags together. You'll have to call them to enquire for your case.

Dr did trim away some skin and repositioned the fat. There appears to be more wrinkles then before.............. ah well. I can't expect to look like I'm in my 20's........just wanted to 'look fresher and rested'
You are probably too young to be doing eye bags.
As we age, we loose fat in the facial skin and neck area. Believe it not, it's the 'plumpish facial skin' that make one appears younger. If you look closely and compare photos, older people have thin and 'deflated' faces with sunken eye areas and sagging.
