Well, definitely it's better to be in your formal dress code for interviews because you will leave a better impression even though they might not be looking at this aspect but we never know.
I understand that Emirates need to be very formal, therefore different airlines have their own minimum expection. You wouldn't expect to see someone dress shabbly for a banking position, would you?
In a nutshell for the rest, go only when you meet the minimum requirments and when you feel good about yourself. 158cm and below, you will be wasting your time and private certificates wouldn't get you anywhere too.

Ya ya, Thanks.

Nope, just happened that I know slightly a bit more from experience and friends whom are in there but of course, nothing beats first hand information.

I did emailed SIA HR department before, and asked them how frequently will there be recruitment session. They replied and said every 2 months there will be one. But it might not be for local FA. If so, 2 months from the foreign recruitment, it will be recruitment for local FA.
Those girls who got in are they really super beauties? Or did they present themselves well? They speak very confidently?
not really.. most look normal, like average. most of them are skinny though!
i also saw those who are going for their kebaya testing today, they look normal and they are all skinny.
that`s all i noticed. lol
all the girls got thru are skinny? oh my... there goes my hope... heee.... was thinking gg tmr.
but since they only select skinny girls, i dun i stand any chances i guess... i am the big-boned type of person with wide hips, plus i am nt young, above 25yrs old...
anyway, all the best for the girls gg tmr and those who pass all the rounds today! good luck!
hey girl.. is not true.. my cousin was 28when she got in SIA, n she isnt skinny. she is big-boned.
wat i heard is, they prefer girls who are slightly more 'well-endowed' so you can carry the kebaya well.
n seriously, my cousin is tall n HUGE.

Hi all
I went today. They did not do the height test when we were queuing up to hand in our application form. Got through to the second round - kebaya fitting. Well the kebayas given to us were really small. The skirt fits but the blouse did not. I noticed that those of us who are more well-endowed were at a disadvantage because we could not fit into the blouse. As for myself, I managed to squeeze into a kebaya, but there were some who were not so lucky. Height and weight testing was done only after the kebaya fitting if you make it through to the next round. Skin checks done only during kebaya fitting.
Certs and ICs were checked before kebaya fitting for those who passed the introduction round. Basically we only needed to show proof of our highest educational certs.
There were some ladies who wore jeans and denim skirts, even spaghetti strap tops who made it to kebaya fitting.

yup, i agree. not all SIA girls are skinny, there are big size girls and yes, u will need the curves to carry out the kebaya...
and as long as u are 30 and below, they will accept u if u fit into their requirements. went today (surprising not a lot of people this time round, went there abt 10am n the Q wasn't as long as the previous walk in) and in my group, there are girls ranging from 22 to 29.. and 3 got in. one was 24, 27 and the oldest at 29 got in.
so don't worry about it. just go for it when the next recruiment comes by ya...

height testing when lining up is only done for those who are on the border. if you`re obviously over 1.58m, you don`t have to be tested.
congrats!
