Relocating to Singapore ---- help and advise needed please

Post by chrisso » Thu, 19 Aug 2004 11:18 pm

Hi there. I am planning to relocate from Malta to Singapore on a long term basis. My girlfriend is Singaporean, we are planning to get married in Malta very soon and then register our marriage in Singapore. I have a few questions and am sure you guys can help us since most probably many of you have been there, done it etc.

1. Will i be able to get a PR status since I will be married to a Sinagporean girl and will that entitle me to work in Singapore?
2. Is it fairly easy to find a job in Singapore (i would be looking for a manager level job - am currently earning around S$ 100,000 per year in Malta)
3. Are there any other passes that I am eligeble to since I will be married to a Singaporean girl.

Well thats all for now - you can answer be here or even better just email me at [email protected].

Try a global headhunter in Malta first, or alternatively, send out your resumes to companies here.

You would be better off having a job before you arrive in Singapore, then coming here to find one.

PR should be easier to get once you register your marriage, and have worked here a few years.
