Those polar bears made an awesome sight when I saw them 2 yrs ago. Sat there for a good 15 mins watching them roam the cage. Struck me as kind of restless though.

Later , I learnt that the polar bears were mentally unstable owing to the vastly different environment here in the tropics compared to their homeground and there was even some major campaign to send these bears back to better climes

Latest is that they are indeed being shipped out

So , if you want to see them this is your chance.
I'm glad that theyre being sent back.

The whole episode makes one wonder of the whole ethics of keeping some animal in captivity. Now only if they did not hold those orangutans for those cameras at the zoo.

I feel bad for the polar bears' predicament.

Whether ppl go to the zoo to see the polar bears, the zoo already had kept them for some time and will continue to do so till the mother bear passes away.

I sympathise, with the animals, I quite often feel the stress of the climate and also wonder, what the hell I am doing here!

Although it's a wonderful place, I have been used to the scandinavian cold for so long, and can often walk around in T shirt in 14C, also worked out doors for many years in cold weather, I believe does have an effect on ones mood.

Office temperatures of 23-25c would suffocate me, and I do suffer lethargy, occassionally because of heat.

Thats why I travel very often, between Europe!
