Hi
I have recently applied for singapore PR with my Singaporean Wife as my sponsor,
I am currently working overseas but would obviously want to live nad work in singpaore if my PR is approved, My current salary is 130k annually but my qualifications are only up to college level.
Would the immigration deny me when i am married to a singaporean, Has anyone ever heard of the immigration denying spouses PR status?
Your response is very much appreciated as i cant seem to think why in the world they would deny me PR status and have us live abroad for the rest of our lives...

Re: Worried about MY PR, PLease HELP
Yes, I was rejected first time round. Then my wife asked the local MP to write a letter to ICA, and was second time lucky.wuboy888 wrote: Has anyone ever heard of the immigration denying spouses PR status?
Do make sure you stipulate your income, otherwise they will assume your wife supports you.
Second time round, I was asked to bring tax statements from last 3 years, pay slips from last year, employment history going back 5 years, and references from previous employers.

Interesting. Seems your PR closely resembled my same path as well. Mine was in 88-91. So yes, even if you have a local wife, it does not mean your application for PR will be initially successful. As an aside, if you got married locally to a local girl, it used to be that you had to sign a declaration that you were aware that marrying a local would not, in any time in the future, automatically give you the right to Permanent Resident Status. I know, I had to sign one, that was back in '83 though and don't know if they still do that or not.
