Any Germans with cats here? Vaccination (Chlamydia Psittaci)

Post by Trudi » Mon, 04 Dec 2006 5:13 pm

Hi,

Two days ago we had our cats chipped and checked on the required vaccinations with out vet. They have a cat flu vaccination but not with the stated Chlamydia Psittaci. According to our vet this vaccine is not available in Germany and we could also not find it with exactly this name in any list of the vaccine suppliers :-|

How did you guys handle this or is there any equivalent for Chlamydia Psittaci on the German market?

Many thanks for any help!

Just received a call from our vet. there is one supplier for Chlamydia Psittaci vaccine. This vaccination really seems to be more than unusual here and when searching google I saw that this vaccination is also very controversial as it has quite heavy side effects and there is only one supplier for it (at least for Germany) :?
