"no owner?"

hello, i will be working in singapore in a month's time, and i'm currently looking for flats to rent. in the classifieds forum, most ads specify available rooms as having "no owner". what does this mean?

hi there...

no owner means that the owner of the place doesnt live in. in sum rent, the owner live in the place, along with the tenants

Thats is one those term SG uses... just like some of the car advertisment.

It means (or at least implies) that they're selling the car because they have to, not because the car is a horrible lemon. This I've seen all over the world though, not just Singapore...
