How much tax will I have to pay?

Post by kaushal_n_shah » Thu, 30 Nov 2006 8:57 am

I recently have been offered a job from a company in Singapore. I will be on a 2 year contract.

As per my understanding for six months I will be considered as Non-Resident and will be taxed based on 15% flat rate.

Once I complete my stay of 183 days in Singapore I wil be taxed based on Resident taxation system (2 to 28%).

The above understanding is correct or as per two year contract I will be taxed as per Resident taxation system (2 to 28%) right from the first day.

I believe you will be taxed only as a resident.
