Hmnn, now's the time to use your gutfeeling and decide through it. Seriously, I've been through that situation. Only that I'm not afraid to give up my previous job though. Evaluate your situation, how much risk are you taking. How much are you going to loose should things turns out different from your expectations. You should be able to decide from there. You can try to talk to your boss about it. As early as now, try to look around for new pal that you can recommend to replace you once you're ready to fly here.batman_2006 wrote:thanks for the reply. i really appreciate it. it feels differently while waiting for the result, cant descibe it hehe. i already informed my boss last week that i was hired in one of the companies in singapore but i didnt submit a resignation letter yet. right now, my boss always ask me if im going to pursue my resignation, so he can start looking for a person who can replace my position. its so hard on my side to assume that my application to MOM is 90% or 100% approved. my other problem is.. once my MOM application is approved, the company that hired me in singapore is in urgent need. so what do you think? do i have to pass a resignation letter today? eventhough i havent receive any information about my MOM application yet then i will just assume that its going to be OK.
Does your current contract state a resignation period? You'll often have to give notice at least one month before you can leave... you've already done the right thing* by giving your boss a heads-up, but legally the contract is the only thing that matters and I wouldn't hand in a resignation until I have to.batman_2006 wrote:thanks for the reply. i really appreciate it. it feels differently while waiting for the result, cant descibe it hehe. i already informed my boss last week that i was hired in one of the companies in singapore but i didnt submit a resignation letter yet. right now, my boss always ask me if im going to pursue my resignation, so he can start looking for a person who can replace my position. its so hard on my side to assume that my application to MOM is 90% or 100% approved. my other problem is.. once my MOM application is approved, the company that hired me in singapore is in urgent need. so what do you think? do i have to pass a resignation letter today? eventhough i havent receive any information about my MOM application yet then i will just assume that its going to be OK.
